What Internal Comms makes
This skill writes the updates you send inside a company. It has formats for team progress reports, company newsletters, answers to common questions, status reports, leadership updates, project updates and incident reports.
It identifies which type you need, loads the matching format guide, and follows it. For a 3P update (Progress, Plans, Problems) the format is strict and meant to be read in under a minute. It asks for the team name and time period, pulls from connected tools such as Slack, Google Drive, email and calendar if it can, and otherwise asks you for the facts.
Best for: Managers and team leads who write regular updates and want them short and consistent.
- 3P updates: progress, plans, problems
- Company newsletter format
- FAQ answer format
- General guide for anything else
- Pulls from Slack, Drive, email or calendar if connected, or asks you
Made with this skill
A bakery team's weekly 3P update from rough notes. Turn a team lead's rough notes into this week's 3P update (Progress, Plans, Problems) for the bakery team. Any brands, names or numbers inside are invented examples.

ChatGPTby OpenAI
- 1 Download the skill (.zip) with the button at the top of this page, then unzip it.
- 2 Open the ChatGPT desktop app and look for Skills in the sidebar, where standalone skills are listed.
- 3 Add the “internal-comms” folder there if your version offers it. If you do not see Skills yet, use this skill in Claude or Codex instead.
- 4 In a chat, type @ and pick the skill, or just ask. Ask for what you want, for example: “Write this week's 3P update for the mobile team: [paste notes].”
To make your own, describe the workflow to @skill-creator in ChatGPT Work and it drafts a skill for you.
