What PDF Toolkit makes
This skill is built into the Claude app. It does almost anything with PDF files. It reads text and tables out of PDFs, merges several PDFs into one, splits one apart, rotates pages, adds watermarks, fills in forms, encrypts or decrypts files, extracts images and creates new PDFs.
For scanned documents, it can run OCR, which reads the text from page images so the file becomes searchable. It uses common Python libraries and command tools, with separate guides for forms and for advanced tasks.
Best for: Anyone who handles PDFs for work and wants to avoid manual page juggling.

Not by default. In our test, a two-page market brief came out with plain default styling, since the skill gives no design guidance.

We asked it to make a two-page brief on the home espresso machine market with a chart and a table. The numbers were made-up illustrations and the pages were checked as images.
