What Excel Analysis makes
Excel Analysis shows your AI how to open an Excel workbook with Python, read every sheet, and work out totals, filters and metrics such as profit margin. It can also build pivot tables, bar and pie charts, merge several files and write a new formatted workbook.
It includes recipes for cleaning data (duplicates, missing values, stray spaces, type fixes), conditional formatting and bold headers, plus tips for big files, such as reading only some columns.
Best for: People who want an AI to do real number crunching on Excel files with Python rather than guessing.

Questions about Excel Analysis
What does it need?
Python with pandas and openpyxl. The skill also lists xlrd for old xls files, xlsxwriter and matplotlib.
Is it the same as the built-in Excel skill?
No. The built-in one is Anthropic's own xlsx skill. This one is a separate, small MIT-licensed skill focused on pandas analysis.
Can it handle large files?
It suggests reading only needed columns, using chunk sizes and setting data types for speed.
