What Supabase Skills makes
Supabase is a service that gives apps a database, user login, file storage and more. These two skills from Supabase teach an agent to use it correctly and to follow good Postgres database habits.
The main skill tells the agent to check current docs and the changelog before building, since the product changes often, and to test any fix with a real query.
Best for: Developers building on Supabase who want their agent to follow Supabase's own advice.
- supabase: covers Database, Auth, Edge Functions, Realtime, Storage, Vectors, Cron and Queues.
- Reminds the agent to verify against current docs, not memory.
- Asks for a test query after any fix.
- supabase-postgres-best-practices: guidance for tables, column types and schema changes in any Postgres database.
Example prompts
Type something like this once the skill is added. Your app opens the skill when the request matches.
-
Set up login with email for my Next.js app using Supabase.
-
Add a table for orders and secure it so users only see their own.
-
Check my database schema for common Postgres mistakes.

A skill is a folder of plain files, so any app that reads the open skills format can use it. Pick your app for its page.
How to add Supabase Skills to your app
Step by step for each app. We say where to click, so you never need to leave this page.
ChatGPTby OpenAI
- 1 Download the skill (.zip) with the button at the top of this page, then unzip it.
- 2 Open the ChatGPT desktop app and look for Skills in the sidebar, where standalone skills are listed.
- 3 Add the folders inside there if your version offers it. If you do not see Skills yet, use this skill in Claude or Codex instead.
- 4 In a chat, type @ and pick the skill, or just ask. Ask for what you want, for example: “Set up login with email for my Next.js app using Supabase.”
To make your own, describe the workflow to @skill-creator in ChatGPT Work and it drafts a skill for you.
Claude appby Anthropic
- 1 Download the skill (.zip) with the button at the top of this page.
- 2 In the Claude app, open Settings > Features.
- 3 Upload the .zip. If the app wants one skill at a time, unzip it and upload the .zip of a single skill folder instead.
- 4 Ask for what you want, for example: “Set up login with email for my Next.js app using Supabase.”
The current Claude Help Center lists Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise. Organization policy can restrict uploads and sharing. Chat runs code in an isolated environment; uploading a skill does not give it your local project, coding-agent tools or unrestricted network access.
