What gstack makes

gstack turns Claude Code into a small virtual team. Each slash command plays one role: a founder-minded product reviewer, an engineering manager that checks the plan, a designer that looks for generic AI design, a code reviewer, a QA tester that opens a real browser, a security auditor and a release engineer.

It is shared by its author as free, MIT licensed software. It needs a setup step on your machine, so we show the install steps here and do not offer a download of our own.

Best for: Founders and developers who want structured roles in Claude Code instead of a blank prompt.

  • office-hours: describe what you are building and get pushed on the idea.
  • plan-ceo-review and plan-eng-review: two reviews of a plan, one founder minded and one engineering minded.
  • review: a check of your changes before they are merged.
  • qa: tests your app in a real browser and fixes the bugs it finds.
  • ship: runs tests, reviews the diff, updates the changelog, commits and opens the pull request.

Example prompts

Type something like this once the skill is added. Your app opens the skill when the request matches.

  • /office-hours I am building a tool that tracks invoices for freelancers.

  • /plan-ceo-review Here is my plan for a new pricing page.

  • /review

  • /qa Test my staging site and fix what is broken.

What’s inside

This one is installed from its author’s own release, so we do not list its files here. The commands below fetch it. Read what it installs before you run it.

Which apps it works in

A skill is a folder of plain files, so any app that reads the open skills format can use it. Pick your app for its page.

How to add gstack to your app

Step by step for each app. We say where to click, so you never need to leave this page.

Claude Codeby Anthropic
  1. 1 Open a terminal on your computer, or ask your agent to run the command for you.
  2. 2 Run this command:gh repo clone garrytan/gstack ~/.claude/skills/gstack -- --single-branch --depth 1 && cd ~/.claude/skills/gstack && ./setup
  3. 3 Start a new session so the skill is picked up. Ask for what you want, for example: “/office-hours I am building a tool that tracks invoices for freelancers.”

We do not host a download of this skill. Read what it installs before you run it.

Questions about gstack

Why is there no download?

gstack is a large tool suite that must be built on your machine with its own setup script, so copying skill folders is not enough. Use the install command below.

What do I need first?

Claude Code, Git and Bun, according to the project's README. Its setup script does the rest.

Is the gstack skill free?

The skill is free to install from its author. We describe it and show the install commands, and we do not host a download.

Who made the gstack skill?

Garry Tan. We did not write it. Best Agent Skills curates skills like this one, explains them in plain words and shows how to add them to your app. It is shared under the MIT licence.
