What AWS Security makes
Helps your agent explain and review AWS security services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub, Inspector, Macie, Detective, WAF and Network Firewall. It can say what is switched on, what is missing and where money is being wasted.
It only uses read-only AWS calls, so it looks but never changes anything. It surfaces the most serious findings first, never advises hiding findings, and keeps secrets out of its answers.
Best for: Teams running on AWS who want a plain-English security review without risking changes to the account.
- Uses read-only AWS calls only
- Puts GuardDuty attack sequences and Security Hub exposure findings first
- Guides for GuardDuty, Inspector, Security Hub, Macie, Detective and Security Lake
- Service coverage and cost recommendations
Example prompts
Type something like this once the skill is added. Your app opens the skill when the request matches.
-
Which AWS security services should we have switched on?
-
Explain this GuardDuty finding
-
Review our WAF and Network Firewall coverage
-
Where are we overspending on security services?

How to add AWS Security to your app
Step by step for each app. We say where to click, so you never need to leave this page.
ChatGPTby OpenAI
- 1 Download the skill (.zip) with the button at the top of this page, then unzip it.
- 2 Open the ChatGPT desktop app and look for Skills in the sidebar, where standalone skills are listed.
- 3 Add the “aws-security” folder there if your version offers it. If you do not see Skills yet, use this skill in Claude or Codex instead.
- 4 In a chat, type @ and pick the skill, or just ask. Ask for what you want, for example: “Which AWS security services should we have switched on?”
To make your own, describe the workflow to @skill-creator in ChatGPT Work and it drafts a skill for you.
